Biography:
Gabriel Sánchez Díaz is a Sports Nutrition advisor for GSSI Mexico. He completed his Bachelors degree in Nutrition at Universidad Tecnológica de México in 2017. After concluding his studies, Gabriel worked in the Nutrition team as a Nutritionist for Club Universidad Nacional (PUMAS) in the minor divisions and Women's Forces categories, as well as food services; carrying out evaluations and nutritional follow-up to more than 10 categories of professional soccer players. Gabriel has extensive experience in anthropometric measurements, currently being an ISAK level 2 anthropometrist. As part of his work at the club, he also supervised the sanitary, nutritional and sensory quality of foods processed in food services, by observing and implementing current national and international regulations.
Gabriel completed a diploma in Sports Nutrition at FC Barcelona University in 2021, in addition to completing two certifications in good manufacturing practices and hygienic food handling (“H distinctive”).
Currently, Gabriel is part of the GSSI Mexico advisory team, who are in charge of carrying out various educational activities to improve the performance of athletes from different areas. They perform sweat tests for professional soccer teams in the Mexican league; evaluate athletes at the Gatorade Lab to search for areas of opportunity in improving performance and provide conferences and webinars in Sports Nutrition; thus offering education in nutrition and hydration through specialized recommendations and strategies for each sporting field.
In his spare time, Gabriel enjoys playing the electric guitar, playing soccer, watching movies, playing video games, hanging out with friends, and spending time with his family.
