Played lacrosse and volleyball in high school; former youth and high school lacrosse coach. Currently enjoys recreational strength training and cycling.
Scientific Background:
Allison is a registered dietitian with interests in sports nutrition and the role of protein in healthy aging. Allison earned a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Connecticut (UConn). She completed her dietetic internship at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she later worked as a per diem clinical dietitian. Allison also earned a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences at UConn; her research focused on perioperative nutrition and developing a diet screening tool to estimate protein intake. During graduate school she also taught the sports nutrition course at UConn in Fall 2022. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.
