Dual sport high school athlete (ice hockey and lacrosse); played NCAA ice hockey; currently enjoys recreational ice hockey and weight lifting

SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND: Anthony is an exercise scientist at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute’s satellite laboratory at the Baylor, Scott, and White Sports Performance Center in Frisco, Texas. His interests lie in exercise physiology, sports nutrition, and human performance and recovery in team sports. Anthony earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Hamline University where he competed in NCAA ice hockey while finding an interest in research. He then moved on the Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin where he obtained his Master’s Degree under the guidance of Edward Coyle, PhD. Anthony’s research background has ranged from carbohydrate and protein supplementation to postprandial metabolic assessment and intervention in physical inactivity. In his free time he enjoys playing recreational ice hockey, weightlifting, and spending time with family.
