Biography:
Dr. Molly Mallari is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Sports Science at the University of the Philippines College of Human Kinetics. Molly earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Philippines, and received her Ph.D. in Sports Science from Mahidol University. Molly’s areas of expertise are sports nutrition, hydration and anthropometry. The PhD incentive award, a grant by the University of Philippines, allowed Molly to collect sweat rate and sweat sodium data for collegiate athletes; a project she works on with the support of GSSI. Molly has worked with GSSI since 2019, supporting bi-annual hydration webinars, sweat patch testing and data collection with the University of Philippines Men’s Basketball Team. Molly continues to support athlete testing and education. Molly’s athletic background includes running, mountain and rock/sport climbing, volleyball, competitive dragonboat rowing, and badminton.
