Biography:
Dr. Javornik has been the Medical Director of the Valle Arriba Athletic Club in Caracas for more than 30 years, fulfilling medical functions and physiological studies in athletes as well as training staff in the areas of fitness and sports science.
Dr. Javornik has worked as a GSSI advisor since its inception, advising various countries in Latin America, and especially in Venezuela where he has helped organize the annual GSSI Course for the past 28 years. He also carries out numerous educational and welfare activities in various sports.
He has been the Medical Director of the CAF Marathon, carrying out pre-event meetings to prevent thermal injuries and is also the coordinator of the medical tent. Dr. Javornik maintains continuous contact with endurance sports coaches, with whom he exchanges specific information about training and competition programs. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family (cooking), doing carpentry and training for indoor cycling and rowing.
